Artist photographer, Christopher Mear, teams up with poet artist Paul Conneally for 'Laughter Is the Best' the first piece from a new series of works, acts and interventions collectively called 'Taking Stock' .

In 'Laughter Is the Best' we find Christopher taking stock of his collection of shopping lists. Mear records himself reciting all the shopping lists he has in chronological order. They have in fact become poetry. He passes the recording on to Conneally who then improvises and records in one take percussion reacting to the words and timbre of Mear's spoken word recording. He then does the same with the bass track.. one long improvised take. Rocket to Nowhere have also made a mix of this track which is included with this release.
